While some of us expend out income on cars, some expend it on homes.

I guess you are not just a professional photographer, but also a professional engineer. I am sure I speak for the community when I say 'Thank You!' for sharing your vast knowledge.

Oh and on the coming out: I knew all along. All that purple is a real give-away.

Congrats on the house dude! That backyard seems perfect for a 40x20 garage.

It's not that you try to talk about things. It's that you try to talk about things as if you already know about them when you don't. Instead of asking if wood-structure homes are prevalent in the U.S., you chose instead to say that his house looked of poor quality. Do you not see how one is inquisitive and the other is rude?

Well if he says they are of poor quality we better believe him. I already suggested Roy to buy the complete series of Home Improvement on DVD!

Me neither, but I see movies. And guess what: those bloody americans are so dumb they keep living on wood houses, even after the wolf and the three little pigs!

I though that was a general skill on humans, but lately I have had some surprises. It's like if all of the sudden, every new car sold, only came with carpets as an optional.

You've got issues

(its okay, i know some stuff about psychology)

BTW, nice house Roy! I love the double garage!

i recently bought an apartment, and i know how much fun it is to actaully own something, just curious though, what did you pay? (no need to answer, i just want to show you how much cheaper houses actually are in america) A similar place here in holland would cost you roughly $300000 depending on the area where you live..

I wish i could own a place like that, nice garden for the family too

That's because they're made of wood and they fall every two weeks. I was told this by "THE ENGINEER".
If you want to know more, stay tuned until the next "ASK THE ENGINEER SHOW"

He would have a field day with the wooden house from the 1700's up the street from me, should I get some pictures so he can make some observations?
