Porsche 996 lapping the Ring. In snow. -14C.

This looks like a whole lot of fun

Porsche snow-run round the Ring

Isn't it a bit dangerous on snow? Looks like a lot of fun anyway. Thanks for the vid!

Guess it's dangerous, yeah. If I was to have that skill though, I'm pretty sure my ears would get wet from the wide grin on my face while doing that

Note that it's a Carrera 2, not a 4

Yes, showing that the chap has really got some skills to brag about... it's definitely a 2, the rear wheels and arches don't have the wider track.

What an awesome video!

Yeah, it is cold. It's pretty @$&(ing cold. Are you from pluto or something? Especially in the context of driving around a track, I don't know how you could possibly say that isn't that cold.

What's your point? It's not like living in a place where it gets as low as -40 will somehow make -14 feel warm. -30 is cold. -14 is also cold. Both are extremely cold in regards to driving around.

"-30 isn't cold, look at liquid nitrogen"

Edit: By the way, Vancouver might have the most moderate climate in Canada, but it's hardly the warmest. In summer it's usually 25 to 30 degrees.

7*F is not that cold, and it's not like the guy doesn't have the heater on. Its a Porsche not a Lotus Seven.

Going outside in January to clean your car off and deliver pizzas all day when the weather channel says -40*F is ****ing cold, and I'm not counting wind chill. The temperature gauge on the dash just reads "ice" and you have to use 2 hands to get the car into gear and move the steering wheel.

So to me 7 is not that cold.

Here the highest temp is 35ish, but really -14 isn't that cold, with wind, it would be a bit cold but still, only mildly.

Way to misinterpret what I'm trying to say. I know all of you think you're supermen because you're so good at coping with -200 degree weather. Look, it's not like I freeze when it's -15 out. We all know how to dress properly. I've been out in -30 before many times, and I've been out in -40. I'm Canadian. I know what cold means.

I'm not trying to start a penis-waving contest where we all say how cold the local weather is. -14 is cold. If you're outside and you're not dressed properly, -14 is cold. The same goes for -30, and the same goes for -40. Assuming there's no difference except for temperature, driving around when it's -14 isn't going to be vastly different from driving around when it's -30.

It all depends on how you're dressed. If you're dressed right, it won't feel cold even if there is wind. If you're dressed badly, it'll feel cold regardless of the wind.
