Veritas hits the 'Ring!
OMG

some folk over Autoblog took a shoot of what it seems to be a Veritas RS3 Concept of some years ago...at the beginning they didn't recognize the car, until a user suggested the solution of the enigma...

well, first: i always liked this car, so i posted.
second: it's a 2001 concept car, what is it doing on the ring 7 years later? so i posted.
third: it has the BMW V12 LMR's engine, without air-restrictors, and it shoulf be good for something like 700 hp, so i found it pretty interesting...so in posted.

Ecnelis (+1 for the sighting!) saw this car today and post it on the nurburgring cam sight thread.

After close look it's indeed a bit different than old RS III (air intake, headlights). Maybe this is new RS III or production version?

they could've made an update. they may plan to relaunch it. what'd be the better and cheaper ad than setting the new record?

it is confirmed, maybe they will unveil this new version at september Paris autoshow. it's a shame the video wasn't taken when the car started the engine...

Spied: Veritas RS3

and i know it have been spotted on the road.
my personal thought, or hope, is that this could be an evolution of the H2R concept, even if i don't know how much Veritas is officially connected to BMW.
it could use the last iteration of the 7 Hydrogen's engine...
i don't think it is just a refreshed or even a new concept, it doesn't make any sense to built two concepts in 7 years and not producing a single car. i can understand the first as a sort of ad campaign, but this could be a "production-ready" one. at least, i would like.
