The real question now is will it be put into production, and will it use the Torsen differential, like it should?

It'll likely be produced, but it'll be quattro. Hopefully at least 60-40.

Probably not because it's a tranverse engine.

Probably , they will produce it... But then, instead of the AWD, it will only be a FWD unless they figure out a way... FWD cars use these transeverse engines...

I don't kow how a transverse engine could be used in All Wheel Drive... But it may be used in Front Wheel Drive...

Dude, relax...

Be easy on me... I'm still taking engineering in college...

a Mitsubishi Evo has AWD and a ford laser has FWD...

If car manufacturers like Mitsubishi and Ford can do it... I'm sure audi also can...

a ford laser TX3 most certainly does not have FWD.

indeed it was, which is why i did not understand your comment on how audi had to figure out a way to make it work since it's been done for a long time now

Alfa Romeo has AWD and transverse engines.
Mazda in the mazdaspeed6 (I suppose the Famailia Clutch mentioned)
Mitsubishi as mentioned
and all the Audi (and VW) with a transverse engine and the pseudo quattro system like the S3 and even less powerful models. IIRC all the Audi with a longitudinal engine use the original quattro system, mainly mechanic, while those with a transverse engine use a electronic system to command the traction.

Sorry about that... Wouter has confused me so much about asking me how to put an AWD in a transverse engine... I'm also sorry about my English... I hope you'd understand...

It was also when I read in Wikipedia.com... Transverse engines are used by front wheel drive cars...
