I always thought that jaguar were passing too closely into Aston Martin territory with that car.

This car is probably better than the DB7.
A newer chassis, less Ford switchgear inside, gearlever that doesn't block off the radio/ climate controls...

It doesn't look as nice though. Especially in white, with bling chrome wheels

Well technicly speecking its the other way around. The XK8 is more modern than it seems. take in mind the DB7 is made on the basis of the former Jaguare coupe(XJS).
