Someone has to agree with me that the Carrera GT looks amazin in Red!! even better than the Enzo, in my view the carrera gt is the best supercar. Does anyone have any pics of the C GT in red??

To me the SLR doesn't stack up to the other two cars, it may in performance but not beauty.

I do not like the CGT in yellow or red.

I've heard 2 opinions put forward ....

1) to sell the magazine they will publish numbers with some 'interpretation'. The merketing hype measn they will sell more cars if their article says the (for example) vette is 0.1s faster than Ferrari

2) The 0-60 times are actually taken with a rolling start. It takes a brave and skillful driver to really pull from 0 with a manufacturers demonstratoer or prototype. The chances of breaking a shaft, cog or clutch is quite high. So if it's a test day for lots of journos the manuf says no pulling from 0. If it's a mag or journo that couldn't afford to pay the repairs then likewise they'll avoid the HGUE stresses in getting from 0 to 1.

well this has been a question i keep pestering people about whenever i hear about R & T or C & D test driving a new sportscar and its either been an italian supercar and theyve gotten figures faster than what the manufacturer claimed, or its an american supercar and its wiped the floor with an equivalent italian supercar. one time before someone said they do both a rolling start and a standing start, and the standing start is apparently about 0.2 seconds quicker or something. the article did say that it would be a proffessional driver that got the quoted figures, but 3.3 is still quicker than what ferrari said the enzo could do. theres a couple of other figures these magazines have achieved that im highly doubtful of as well

Factory figures tend to be on the conservative side (apart from Ferrari BHP figures in the 50's and 60's), as even in a normal production run you may have good ones and less good ones. Even the latter need to meet the indicated times. That means that good ones are better and manufacturers do not hesitate to send the best ones for road tests. One of the worst things that can happen is when a car does not reach the factory figures during a test, so sometimes factories even "help" a little bit.

thanx for the pics. the CGT looks great in red. i still havent seen an SLR in any colour other than silver and black. over all i'd take the Enzo cause its too perfect for words. i came across a R & T issue on an Enzo's Test Drive but didnt have the money. ive seen a red Enzo, black CGT & a silver SLR at a motorshow. i added some pics of the SLR a few days ago. here's the link:
