Formula Woman RX-8s at Knockhill

Formula Woman is a UK race series with 16 women drivers competing in RX-8s.

Here's some video from Knockhill.
The cars don't handle that well for ones professionally setup for a whole race series !!

LOADS of aggression from these drivers.
Knock-for-knock, arguing in the pitlane, complaining to marshals, stewards and presenters
Wish I'd gone to see it now

I think that it is great that they are supporting women race drivers.
I don't think it is great that they did it this way.

Why not give the support to existing women drivers who have proper talent, rather than giving it to people who haven't raced before?

Also, why do they keep saying "now they are taking on the men"?
They are "taking on" other women, not men (apart from the one who used to be a chap).

This makes better television
I think the winner of this series gets a fully-funded car next season in higher formula - which ARE dominated by men unfortunately !!

One of them at Knockhill admitted that if she can't beat the other 15 women drivers on the track then what chance does she have racing against men !!

They get a seat in the BTCC IIRC.
Don't know if its a seat in a SEAT though.
