You are right, it is an old thread but in the logs I am seeing quite a number of downloads originating from this source. Last month I had to shut the website down for a week because the bandwith had been used up. Thats 100 gig per month.!

As such, for one, there is no visible copyright mark on the image. For another that picture has been circulating around forums for ages with no person claming ownership or no right to use. And 3rd I found this picture on THIS forum before I found it on other sites, in a thread which you too participated in. You could have said something then.

No need to make life harder man, keep it simple fun.

Doesn't make it free to use.
Their are still rights just harder to enforce without the copyrignht IN the image. If the copyright was placed on the same space as the image then it can be legally upheld !

Under copyright law, the only diffrence that makes is if the owner KNEW it was being shared. If they dont' go after everyone it gets harder - but not impossible - to go after one.

It's not our job to protect you from legal challenge and arrest for copyright infringement. Wouter protected himself (as much as he can) by asking you not to. So the problem is YOURS. We're not your mum

Remember that it was only pointed out to you because you used a potentially copyright item to make fun of someone who had inadvertently used copyright image It IS all fun
