Next Generation VW Jetta / Bora Spied

Next Generation VW Jetta / Bora Spied

Last week VW of America held it’s unveiling of the next generation Jetta/Bora (MKV) for franchise dealership managers across the US. In an effort to create some momentum, VW has shed the camouflage for this bigger, more upscale model which was seen around the Tampa, Florida area. Official release is expected by the end of next month.

The Jetta is VW's “bread and butter” car in the US whereas compact class sedans are not so popular in Europe. With plummeting sales figures in the US as a result of an aging model line it’s crucial that VW recapture the Jetta thunder once again. Much like the E90 BMW 3 series brochure leak, perhaps the release of these spy photos and increased internet discussion will help VW push the release even sooner

Ugly, reminds me of the Mazda3 Sedan, just worse. The current Jeta is nice, why do they have to make it so ugly. Hopefully, the Passat will be nicer.

Mazda3 wannabe?

I like the looks of the older Jetta much better. Much more elegant and european. This one looks like its trying to hard to be downmarket.

I don't like compact-class sedans. It looks just wrong in my opinion.....
and espacially this one's damn ugly. In Germany the Jetta is called Bora.

You can see it will get those taillights most VW-concepts have.
Maybe it wont become as ugly as the current VW Polo Sedan.....

I think the taillights will look something like this:
