Rendezvous MUST SEE!!!!!

OMG!! some of you may have seen this, others just heard of it, and to some it is brand new. but in 1977, film maker Claude Lelouch mounted a camera on the front of his Ferrari 275 GTB and did a very high-speed trip through the streets of paris at dawn, all illegally. he did not stop for red lights, or anything else. this is a must see for every car fanatic.

EDIT: i hope the host site doesnt mind, but this is amust see!

I've seen it, great movie...

But rumours are that the car wasn't really a Ferrari, but an Alpine A110 and that the footage was speeded up to make it look faster.

Isn't it fake though?

Something about far too many upshifts wasn't it?

In fact your right! An Alpine A110 would probably make a faster round through the city than the GTB. What it lacks in top speed wouldn't be relevant, as it has great acceleration and probably corners fast in slower curves like city junctions and all.

Phew people can imagine what an Alpine A110 can do with a 1300 engine. I also couldn't until I took a ride in it.

there have also been rumurs that it was a white mercedes sedan. supposedly the trick is to freeze frame and try and see it in the reflections of windows and such.
