Ok, this is the Mitsubishi Concept Eclipse E, not the 2006 Eclipse.

And as ugly as it is, only elements of the design will make it to production.

It's a close approximation of the production model...

I'd make a few small changes, but I think the Concept E is pretty awesome looking overall... far and away better looking than the current Eclipse.

They reckon only about 40% of this will make production.

And thats like saying the Vision SLR Concept was close to the SLR, close, but not exact. the Production model was better!

the front is nice but the back looks awful. Its true that most of it won't make the final model

I agrre the car has its good and bad bits. the backend... forget about its i hope its part of that 40% which wont make it to production. the fron is nice but will have to undergo extensive reworking on that front fender if its ever going to get into north america.
The overall shape though is one i like. that low slung coupe thing is really much MUCH MUCH better than the current eclipse.

any info on what mitsu could put that engine in? maybe a new 3000GT???
what is the origin of this engine anyways , is it a new mitsu made engine?

I've seen other pics of the Eclipse concept with the rear hatch open, it opens to the side and not up! Looks a little melted but atleast its got its own look.

IMO, it needs to be streched out, about a foot and a half longer, and maybe 6 inches wider, that might look better

EDIT: hahahahah, look at the seats, they have built-in holes for "extra comfort" or "longtrip emergencies"
