1955 le-mans crash
not one of the nicest things ive ever seen, remember watching a replay of this on TV and it was bad

At least this review gives a correct description of the accident, pointing at Hawthorn for late braking and giving the poor Austin Healey driver Lance Macklin no option than swerve around him, being caught in the process by Levegh. Previous description always declared the AH to be fully responsible for the accident. Macklin died only a couple of years ago.

fortunately, such thing isn't happening again. safety in motorsport race nowadays is very strict. what could bring back Aryton Senna???
