Isn't there a way to insert it in the gradient function?

i dont know about gradient, you could always give it a low opacity on the body and make it somewhat like a vinyl

First you have to make a new document, fill it up with a black background. Then Filter - Render -1st option (I honestly don't know the name cause I have my PS in Spanish... "Destello" is what is called, I don't know the exact translation.) Then you place 3 "Destellos" in the doc, up left corner-middle-bottom right corner... After that you have to start playing with it, twirl it, plastify it, glass, etc add some colour etc... All the time making new layers, lighten them up and merging them. Everything is done with filters.
