5) OLYMPUS CAMEDIA C-745 DIGITAL CAMERA - http://www.jessops.com/search/viewpr...RODUCT=OLYC745

6) PANASONIC LUMIX DMC-FX1 DIGITAL CAMERA - http://www.jessops.com/search/viewpr...UCT=PANDMCFX1B

7) RICOH CAPLIO R1 DIGITAL CAMERA - http://www.jessops.com/search/viewpr...PRODUCT=RICDR1

8) SAMSUNG DIGIMAX A5 DIGITAL CAMERA - http://www.jessops.com/search/viewpr...PRODUCT=SAMDA5

I considered a Fujifilm and a Panasonic along with the Nikon Coolpix 4300 about six months ago. I based by decision on the reviews from this site: http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/cameraList.php

It's a little bit of reading and comparing but since the same reviewers test the different cameras you get a better picture

I've got the Olympus one you mention in the link. Bought it about two months ago. Seems alright - but I didn't do any comparing. I was mainly shopping on price and it seemed better than the Canon I looked at. Photos are very sharp, but one disadvantage is that it doesn't have rechargeable batteries. Make sure you when you buy batteries you get really good ones (ask at an eletronics store - they'll they you the best batteries), otherwise you'll only be able to take a few shots before the low charge warning flashes.

Can you post a photo you've taken with that camera in the original res it was taken in please. If original res it too big to post, can you email it to me? Also, can this camera take good, sharp pics at night? Can it fit in your pocket quite easily? Thanks.

No Canon's in the list? They're good cameras. The screen of every canon camera is crystal so it lasts longer and harder to scratch.

This is the only good Canon I can afford (apart from the next model down). Optical zoom is a must too.
