That shot was taken with my 28-105mm f3.5-4.5 and was taken at 80mm/f4.

Based on its zoom range, do you use this for most of your photography?

Depends. Lately I've been using my 17-50mm much more, but it really just depends on the situation. For car show stuff, having the wider 17mm is a huge plus as large objects in tight areas with lots of people can be an enormous pain without a wider lens. However, I really like the look of cars when photographed with a longer lens (I like wide as well), so I often switch between those two lenses during the same event.

Yeah the wide angle would be handy for car shows and such. When I purchased my 28-80mm, it came with a .45x wide angle converter. Haven't taken much notice to it, but I'll give it a try soon. I know that it slows the lens down, which may not work to well with the 28-80 because its already slow. I was thinking about putting it on the 50mm 1.8, as I plan to buy it soon. I've ordered a step up ring and I'm hoping it will work out.

you may want to afford yourself the luxury of using two bodies at the same time....
