The Year 2008 in Photographs

I got sent a link to this in an email and thought I'd share it here too. You may have already seen it, so apologies if this is old news to some.

It's a collection of 120 photographs depicting various events from all over the globe. Some are beautiful, some inspiring, many poignant, and a few genuinely harrowing.

Enjoy/Discuss...

Just finished looking at all 120 of them, really makes you remember a lot of things that you would forget after a couple of days.

Link greatly enjoyed. Every pic on that article deserves a thread of its own.

Thanks for the link. I guess I'm kinda glad it'll be over soon.

I got most of them, but some seemed like I should have and didn't. The biggest surprises for me were the bombings in pakistan, though I could have just forgot about them. Some good pictures.

The Big Picture is top notch. I'd been checking these out as they were released. Certainly a site we should all have bookmarked. I know I do... Thanks for posting.

That volcano has such epic undertones of the end of days.

Great find, domo arigato.

Awesome pictures! There seems to be a lot of these recaps around for 2008, nostalgia is nice though.
