What a beast!!!
Finally took delivery of my Seat Ibiza Ecomotive today.
1.4 TDi Engine*phwoar*
Almost EIGHTY (eight-zero) Horsepower *gasp*
0-60 in UNDER 13 seconds *swoon*
I know, I know. Sounds almost too good to be true, you probably think I'm bullshitting right now. But believe me folks, such a heart-stoppingly thrilling beast as this does truly exist, and it's sitting on my driveway as we speak!
See it and weep folks!

Try not to hate me, jealousy is such an ugly emotion. :)

Thank you for supporting our economy.
Or something. :)
-
not my favorite car, but it's always nice when an enthusiast gets his hands on his new ride!
Congrats mate, and enjoy the beast responsibly! :D;)

No problemo.
Now go and buy a Morgan or something to even up the score. Fair's fair. :p

Are you going to take advanced driving/racing lessons?
I know I would before touching the wheel of that car.
-
Actually despite all the humour, I found the similar 3 cyl engined Polo diesel surprisingly fast considering the power output. And I think it was the base 70bhp version.
-
Good purchase, Jack! Recent Seats are sweet ones. Aren't fog lights must haves in UK?
And strange numberplate, by the way :P

Ditto dude. Scary stuff.

Key words: surprisingly and considering.
In all seriousness though, congrats. It will get the job done and it is possible to have fun with just about any car. Got any plans to do anything to it or just leaving it stock and ducking when you see someone you recognize? ;)

Well it would do 110mph on the motorway and acceleration was fine as long as you used the lever that lays between the seats. Those small turbocharged diesels always suprise when it comes to performance. Having said that, you went everywhere flat out... :p
Awaiting review, by the way. :)

I have seen offerings for 400 pound (499 Euro) to chip the beast up to 96 BHP combined with a better mileage, with a warranty take-over by the tuner. That will put you in GTI territory....
-
I don't believe you. Egg nog the bad boy please!
-
Congrats on the car J_B, hopefully it will take you a cross many safe miles.
-
Congrats! :)

If you get it chipped be sure to electronically limit it while you're at it. The tires just won't be able to handle the speed.

What a sexy little hatch.
