If it was only down to who designed the sexiest cars it would be Italy.
But then 90% of the worls cars would be in the workshop :)
Think of all the jobs it would create!

yeah but Italian electrics repaired by a new jersey mechanic .... the extra jobs created will be in the tow truck business :)
Ferrer, it's far from what anyone woudl WANT ... BUT all I was pointing out is that IF there were to be one country then it WILL be China as none of the others have the GDP, size or market growth to get anywhere near them.

So, everyone wins in the end! ;)
Matra, I love cars from many different countries. And I'm sure that some (many possibly...) years down the road there will be great chinese cars. But, if I can only have one type of car, it has to be of my type, the latin type. We live in the heart not in the head. So performance, safety, efficiency, fuel consumption or practicality are all irrelevant.
And you know what? All the better for it. :)

Very affordable SUVs right there...
Opel Corsas?
Japan offers the Mazda 2, Mazda 3, Civic, Corolla, Yaris, Scion Xd, Fit, Versa, Sentra, etc etc etc.
I'm sure every college student in the world would like to drive an Opel Corsa or a VW Rabbit.
Trabant nT then?
Abart 500 SS.

I knew you would say that...
Like in the choice of buying a premium car today, the head says Germany but the heart wants Italy. And the heart wants what the heart wants.
I agree with zondaventa725, you head says Germany but your heart wants Italy. I would pick Germany because they make great car and if i picked Italy i would be calling the RAC out a lot more.

Because you've got personal experience with both, do you?

No, i don't have personal experience with both, as i am only 16 and i can't drive yet. Although it's a known fact the German cars are more reliable the Italian car, I'm not saying Italian car a realy unreliable because modern Italian cars are quite reliable.
I didn't know it was a known fact that German cars are more reliable than Italians.

You're confusing stereotypes with "known facts".
We'll see. When I fail my driving test tomorrow, I'll blame my miserable Fiat for that:p
