So here's the question- would you guys get the GT2 RS or the Carrera GT, used of course?
I'd go Carrera GT.
It's still a nice car though.

if i'm paying for maintenance, the GT2 (would still prefrer GT3RS)
if not, CGT.
Carrera GT for sure...more interesting car for sure.....
Carrera GT. It's not a hotted up 911.
I'd prefer the turbocharged Beetle.

To each his own I guess, but can one get a Carrera GT for the price of the GT2 RS?
I'd much rather get the Carrera GT, it's much more special looking, even if the GT2 RS is a lot faster.
its the wooden shift knob, the V10, and the fancy tub/engine cradle...but mainly the shift knob....:D
Found video footage.

Oh yeah, that shift knob is awesome. Plus it's a targa too if you want.

993 GT2 or an F-15. :D
Another question: do those slits at the rear of the car provide any useful aero or is that just a faux-diffuser?

Haha, why would I want a car with wheels set up like a tripod?
Pretty sure the vents are functional. Since 996 Turbo they have positioned vents there(C4S's being decorative I think), the intercooler for the turbo is in that area. Being rear engined they are quite cramp with space....
The reason of no pdk, itīs not the wheight or the power. The block of this engine has the heritage of the 911 GT1 (itīs the same engine with the evolution of year, but pretty much the same engine), and that engine has never been combined with PDK, the new Porsches with that gearbox has a new block including the recently 911 (997) Turbo restyled, next GT2 will have that engine block, so in a kind of way, this is the last car from an era in Porsche.
