I'd rather have 300-400 cool/good cars than 1500 that are duplicates/garbage filler. I do not want to drive a Toyota Yaris in a racing game. I do not want to drive a 96, 97, 98, 99, 00, and 01 Skyline GTR omgwtfbbqedition R4000004324035 l33thaxor edition.
Edit: That weeding out the weak thing was me. :)
Who really wants to race an Asscalade?
That's Escalade to you. :p I want to race it... because there's no way in hell I'd take ours to the limit, I like my life thank you very much. Just wished they put the '02 Pontiac Montana in it too, then my life would be complete.

The list smells kinda fishy, but a lot of it is believable. Maybe, take out all those stupid tuner brands and it will be realistic.

OH YES!!! YES! FINALLY! Now I can live my life long fantasy of playing a 1973 AMC Gremlin!
The extent of cars is a bit silly. What really pisses me off is that there are a few Ferraris I'd like to have seen (1956 860 Monza), but instead they have a 1993 Geo Storm?
Also, there's no such thing as a "275 GTB/4 Daytona." Do they mean a 275 GTB/4 or 365 GTB/4 Daytona?
Chevrolet Corvette [C6] "SS" Blue Devil '08
Now how in the hell are they going to pull this off?
-
I can't WAIT for this game! Too bad you have to buy a PS3 just to play it.

The same way they pulled off the Nike Concept.
Approximate all the numbers, make it sound like a crazy C6R and add crazy amounts of power. :D

In fact, yes there is... :p
It's just another GT wishlist some idiot posted as the real thing. Happened with GT4, will happen with this again.
Only brain dead folks would actually believe 10,000 cars would be modelled. It takes at least a month to model one car and less than 20 cars get done per month. You do the math people.

This is probably off, but let's say 50 cars are done per 180 days (about 6 months). There's about 90 something folks, so we'll say 50 are devoted to the cars. That means 100 cars are done every year. GT5 started production in 2005. With a release date of 2008, that means the game would ship with 350-400 cars (sounds reasonable considering current info).
Ok, so with 400 (max), that leaves 9,600 cars. Divide that by 100. 96.
The entire work force of Polyphony would be dead before even 8,000 cars are done, and ready for download.
C'mon folks, read my previous posts...it's a mis-interpreted list. GTWorld has already retracted the "news".

Why can't they get the 250 GT SWB?
Well... if they have the California Spyder from Ferris Bueller's Day Off, that would make up for all their sins.

Wise ass.
But I don't think that car had the 3.3 litre engine of the 275, just the nose. And either way it was a one-off prototype so I don't think they named it either.

It was one of the prototypes for the forthcoming 365 GTB/4 (the Daytona) based on a 275 GTB/4 chasis. There were three made, two by Scaglietti and one by Pininfarina (penned by Leonardo Fiovaranti). This is one of the Scagliettis.

BAHAHAHA! Grand Turismo 5 has even more Nissan Skylines than Initial D version 3. :D
-
OMG liek how will they get cars that aren't even made yet!!!1!!
At launch it will only have 340 cars while the others will be developed in the future.
