Less variety is bad... but I'd be hard pressed to actually properly miss them.
We'll see if the market punishes them. The domestics love copying eachother's bad ideas.
Not with a bang, a whimper. Disspointing.

Just wait until in 5 years we (all human drivers) are all driving jacked up huge grilled turbo light hybrid I4 CUVs. You love to see it.

It doesn't seem like Ford or GM give a crap about the Australian market. Too low volume for them to keep independent models, not any new news here folks.

I mean, I liked seeing the Commodore as a patrol car here. It came over as a Chevy Caprice.

The US domestic automakers are already hurting. Ford and GM quit making sedans and smaller cars. Let's see how well Chrysler does. Financially they're the least well off of the big 3.

I will certainly miss seeing the Ford Falcons go up against the Holden Commodore at Bathurst and hearing the big thundering V8s.

Last week I drove one of those (except for the hybrid part) and I still can't see the point. What surprised me most of all was how cumbersome it felt despite being about the same size as my car (which by the way is now considered a hard charging, hard riding, low slung sportscar for some reason). Oh and it had a smaller boot.
I also saw no added practicality compared to say... a car.
