well this bunny is a 2.5 inline 5 crankin out 170hp and ft/lbs. its pretty fast. i'm surprised how balanced the engine is for a 5 banger. its very strong too! thats a plus!
so that doesn't leave much :p
So you agree...the Cobalt isn't anything special :p

that actually sounds pretty good. although it might just mean you'll be going faster when you break down :D

well, it seems to be a good option here, but if it was me... second hand DC2/5 ITR ftw
I have an SVT Focus for sale! Only about 200mi on a new clutch, I also have the fuel economy records and used Mobil 1 synthetic. Only selling because I'm buying an even better car and can't afford to own two cars AND a motorcycle...
You know me, Civic FTW. :D
Maybe a Rabbit with the DSG?
Or wait for them to bring the diesel over

Well he said he liked the engine, but not the gearbox...
Civic is supposed to be fantastic, the Rabbit is great and Scion is owned by Toyota so you know its reliable. You should probably avoid the Cobalt at all costs. But if you want to go American the new Ford Focus looks pretty cool and most people seem to like those cars.

Why? Car and Driver gave it a very good review and for the price it's a very good value, my parents bought one 7 months ago and we had no problems with it so far. I drive it everyday and I like it a lot, it has good standard equipment, great fuel economy and doesn't cost anything to run, or almost. While it may not be the greatest car to drive on the planet (and it's not) it has everything coolieman is looking for.
Personally I'd go with the Civic, but the best bang for the buck IMO is the Cobalt.
Honda Civic - Good all arounder. Can't really go wrong. (Best bet)
Nissan Sentra - See Civic. Probably a bit more fun but not as refined and reliability may not be as good. (Last)
Toyota Corolla - Slow.. boring. But, cheap as hell to run and will last forever. (4th)
Scion Tc - Fun car, good for the price. Looks a bit tacky and may not be as economical as the others. (3rd)
Chevy Cobalt - Fun car, cheap to run, and GM repairs aren't costly. A bit bland in styling and interior treatment. (2nd)
That's my rundown. Take it as you will.

I don't like the Cobalt, but I don't see anything wrong with it either.
The new Ford Focus I find to be extremely ugly. Avoid that at all costs.

Makes a lot of sense and it would have been exactly like I would have put it in a lot less words.
