I had to vote a big OTHER i have no idea where you got this list from but its a very interesting list to say the least. obviously im sure many are wondering where the classic muscle is and where the pony cars are but since it seems like you are trying to steer clear of the most commonly revered cars of the era i'll throw in a few that could easily be winners.
1959 Caddy Eldorado

Another classic that was never really a muscle car but is truly gorgeous just like the caddy
1957 Bel air

Some more choices then.
It's hard to beat early 1930s Packard when it comes to coolness. Also, 1960 Cadillac lineup hits a sweet spot for me, I'd almost call them elegant...

It looks like a '71 or '72 Plymouth Road Runner to me. With a 383 engine, obviously.

For a production car, the Duesenberg "SJ"

Out of these I would go for the Cord. I've seen several of them in person and they are very elegant and just great looking all around.
My personal favorite out of cars from this era would be the spectacular Duesenberg SJ Mormon Meteor Special. The flowing coachwork is fantastic and pushes all the right buttons for me.
