and for bikers has to include
TT3D: Closer to the Edge (2011) - IMDb
Faster (2003) - IMDb

PS: Recently an idiot tried to reproduce Rendezvous in Edinburgh and posted the results to FaceBook. Didn't seem to realise that they coudl look up junction cameras and see his car and HIM. His court case comes up this month :)

I hate NASCAR but this is one of the few racing movies i've seen that hasn't been included yet:
Days of Thunder

I really wanted to steer clear of racing movies, more interested in movies with sports cars. but yeah, that is a good movie ;)

Not the Lindsey Lohan one. Herbie races in NASCAR and is piloted by said actress. I'll just stop there.

these are some good movies. thanks for sharing guys ;)

Two from the '70s... prime drive-in flix, though not as good as Vanishing Point.
IMDb Video: Two-Lane Blacktop
IMDb Video: Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry
At the other end of the spectrum were dreck like Spinout and Gumball Rally.
But who could forget Death Race 2000? Also kind of surprised no one has mentioned John Carpenter's Christine.

Good reminders .... but hey why get down on Death Race ? A great movie :)
Pennsylvania, the cradle of liberty, it seems apparent that our citizens are staying off the streets, which may make scoring particularly difficult, even with this year's rule changes. To recap those revisions: women are still worth 10 points more than men in all age brackets, but teenagers now rack up 40 points, and toddlers under 12 now rate a big 70 points. The big score: anyone, any sex, over 75 years old has been upped to 100 points.

Not down on it, it's tremendous fun but at the time, few got the dark humor of it. Love the kitsch kars... just a blast.
But as great cinema, not so much. ;)

true :) I think I just misread your meaning of "spectrum" and "forget". I took it to imply even worse :)
-
;) Badly written... edited for clarity.
