Challenger, manual, endless supply of rear tyres.. = win.
Imagine the looks you'd get cruising around brisbane or sydney in a challenger though.
It'd stop traffic.

only because it's so wide, nobody could get past.
A viper has the brute class of an old musclecar.
not sophisticated, but awesome
the challenger will have huge rims put on it and is a fat copy of a once great car.
less class than drinking bong-water
Thats the reason i love it.
Its so... American.

It's not badly built enough to be a true muscle car

it does exemplify the 'bigger is better' philosophy of yank tanks i suppose :p
I dont think build quality is a good enough thing to rule it out. Its all american anyway.
Below par across the board.

well chrysler is the worst at it imo, so you might be on to something here :p
I'd love to see the coupe 60 from holden go into production, then battle with the mustang, camaro, etc.. Would be a great roadtrip..

another reason it sucks. the engine should be 426 cubes if it's a hemi
I still love the idea of a massive tyre smoking..
i dunno, the viper's pretty crass. chrome wheels as standard, truck engine etc etc
Don't knock those truck motors, mate. Don't forget what's sitting in the rump of the Ford GT, albeit in highly modified form. Not too many people I know would call that car crass because of the truck motor.
Come to think of it, the Ford Falcon V8 range is derived from the same truck motor...
I'll admit the Viper has a certain "chest-wig" crassness about it, but the crudity and vulgarity all add up to an amazing piece of maniacal machinery. Long may it live to leave black strips across the worlds avenues and byways.
I'm beeched az bru!
sorry.

What about a 241? 270? 276? 291? 301? 315? 325? 330? 331? 345? 354? 392?
Do I catch a whiff of a ignorant fanboy?
What about a 331?

not particularly, I would rather have the late 60s Hemi than the 50s one.
Seeing as the challenger was form the early 70s thats the one it should have. They dont offer a 331 for the challenger either.:)
Fanboi of what, btw?
