Not off topic at all. They'd be in GTE Pro, as they would be a factory backed team with no amateur drivers. In the following years they could sell a car or two to the gentlemen driver teams who could field it with an amateur driver to be in the GTE Am field.
They will field at least one works car in the GTE Pro class in 2016.
McLaren will also homologate their 650S in GTE and will most probably also be present.

Apparently I was mistaken, Toyota weren't slower than last year, it's just that they only improved by 1.5% per lap rather than 2% for Audi and 4% for Porsche.
That's huge for ACO to manage. Anything more than 1% across the board means that the restrictions need addressing.

Yes indeed, Toyota was faster than last year but Audi and (especially) Porsche improved so much that they left Toyota for dead. In fact the 919 was theoretically capable of turning 3:14s, should they have the need to do so.

It'll be good to see McLaren back. My sister (who knows very little about racing and is absolutely uninterested in it) ask where they were in the race. Hopefully they'll be more competitive at LeMans than they are in F1 anyway.

Spirit of the Race goes to Nick Tandy. Seems reasonable.

I agree with that.

If they manage to not be dead stone last and be completely ridicolous, they will be doing better than in F1.

Ain't that the truth.
On the other hand, the Honda engined LMP2s were outpaced by the Nissan ones, so... yea.

Stupid pair of twelve-hour days at work sapped my will to watch, though I did check the live timing every few hours; seems like a good race.
I'm pretty disappointed with the Japanese's showing in P1. Hopefully next year they can bring the fight to the Germans.

By the way, the best thing about this year's Le Mans race is that a tractor didn't win! :)
