All JC and his superiors care about is you guys are yammering on about him and the show.
If trashing a hybrid is all it takes then expect him to do it about every 3-4 months.
yeah im aware that they are part of the marketing skeem, but still, most of you guys are older than me and me ( and possibly some other members on here ) are going to have to deal with what some people have done to the planet.
I feel sooooo sorry for you!

It isn't as simple as saying "others did this to the planet before I was there".
We are still "hurting" the planet/ourselves, regardless of what others did.
Think about the tons of batteries for you walkman/cd player you trashed without recycling them, or how many time you take the car/bus while a bicycle would do equally (and sometimes ever faster) the job.
do you separate glass from iron and plastic or organic wastes in the trash?
perhaps you do, that's not the point, but a lot of young people isn't while claiming we must save the planet and at the same time keep with the old attitude not paying attention to smaller details rather than the huge campaign against gas guzzlers.
as if cars were the only thing polluting, but it's basically the only one discussed among the population.
On the Clarkson subject I mainly agree with Wouter and Cotterik.
Consider that driving both cars reckless, the Golf (1.9, not 1,8) would pollute more, and if driven normally the Insight would still pollute less. I guess even fuel consumption would be better for the Honda.
Then you can operate it in electric mode to cross limited traffic areas, something a traditional car can't do.
and it's silent, despite this being something people hate because it's supposedly dangerous because you don't hear the car coming.
First of all, pay attention you are crossing the street, even a bicycle can hurt you, second, what about all those kids with iPods, who need to adjust the volume while on the street?!
I still think series hybrids (plug-in ones) are a better solution, but even parallel ones have been a good start.
I'd like to see the hybrids consumption compared to my bimmer with my driving style.
that doesn't make his reviews good.
As a show, it's really entertaining, but as a automobile program it has some good points hidden behind sarcasm, hyperboles and pointless tests, but the way they are presented makes them impossible to see /understand for the average public, therefore its content is taken as gold and holy truth, and that's why I don't like it anymore.
Well, you're missing May. Which is a brilliant car journalist.

And now back to the V6 Alfa... :D

hey! LOL! :D:)
anyways...
I'll listen to his opinion about ride quality and interior, but his political beliefs really don't belong in a car review.
Also, his opinion of the CVT made me laugh. It's sort of a 'well duh, its supposed to do that'.

I happen to be younger than you, looking at your age, and I have to question: Is everything YOU do completely green? I am annoyed at Obama for legislating out the muscle car in his current proposal; I guess you aren't.

hey, did i not say MOST hmmm?
An opinion is an opinion. Whether you agree with it is still up to you. It comes down to finding reviewers who you like/trust. You wouldn't take a movie critic who bashes your favorite movie and then keep on taking his advice on what movies to see because you might end up disliking most of them. if you find JC's and your opinions on cars not lining up then go read someone else.
