Not sure how you could apply desmodromic valves into Audis, but I guess there is some technology from motorbikes that can be applicable to Audi.

Certainly in marketing.
I don't think they've overtakem BMW, they're just driving an inch behind BMW with their highbeams on.

Is that Dutch for 'sheesh' or 'geez'? Cos if so I'm spelling it that way from now.

it is all derived from the word Jezus, so anything is possible....
I am actually intrugued by the idea of car companies owning a motorcycle outfit. Can we at last see some integration? If you're going to have EFI on a bike, why not something as advanced, and OBD-II compatible, as cars?
Hope it doesn't water down the Ducs though, if I were to think about a sportbike, Ducati is at the very top of my list (the only other contender being the Suzuki SV bikes on the low-end)
The only technology I can think of start trickling down from automotive applications is direct injection (as far as I know, only one bike has been built using DI, and its an american bike), and more carbon fiber. Lamborghini does have an extensive partnership with Boeing and Callaway for their carbon fiber developments so it makes sense that whenever the newly acquired ducati puts out a brand new model, it will feature much more carbon, and possibly DI.
If this will make Ducati a bit cheaper I will be happy about it but if not, I don't like the idea of car companies owning bike companies. I think they should manage their own lines.
Wonder what will happen to the quality
:eek:Wow cool![quote=DesmoRob;983266]LOL!! ^^
I didn't even know they wanted to sell. Surprised that Mercedes didn't pick them up considering they're the ones sponsoring them, and Ducati has already released AMG edition bikes. Oh well. There's already so many things in the motoring world to face/palm about. What's one more?
