Or M. Schumacher's second on the grid. I don't fully buy that theory about how a DNF can affect the next race's qualifying position.

Well in Bahrain i suppose it holds some truth, with all the sand the first few have to sweep the track a bit, although you'd expect most of that to be done in the first practise session

i do believe that if michael hadnt have the hydraulics problems he could've win the Bahrain GP. I saw the "Live Timing" on formula1.com and michael's run was pretty good. He set a couple (if not more) quickest lap and he was slowly closing his gap between him and fernando i remembered seeing the time gap from 0.8 up to 0.5 and i think michael got up to 0.3 at one time... i do think that the f2005 is capable of beating the renault's car. Ferrari wont win too many races this year but they will win a few... i dont know if anyone noticed Ruben's run he got from last place to 13th in just 5-6 laps which i think is pretty impressive.

very very dissapointing race for mark though... damn it! unlucky

Alonso seemed fairly confident that on the longer runs though he wouldve left Schumacher trailing

well i'm not surprised... off course that he would say all these things just to make his team and him self look better. Renaults have won all the race so far and i think they'r getting a bit over confident.

Can you blame them? Melbourne, Trulli could only challenge Fisichella for a few laps as Alonso stormed through the field. Sepang, Trulli again could only keep up for a few laps and Bahrain, Schumacher seemed to keep up before his failure, and we didnt even find out his fuel load, but again, Trulli couldnt keep up

I wouldn't count out Ferrari quite yet, the F2005 debut obviously seemed premature and desperate move on Ferrari's part, but much advancement will be done with the car to get it up to speed, you can count on that. McLaren and Renault are looking very fast and if Kimi can improve his qualifying he'll be in the hunt for wins every race. Toyota is definitely the surprise so far this year, as Trulli has done great in qualifying and in the races. BAR is very much off pace this year, and I'm wondering if they'll will step back up to their performance from last year. Also I think it can be safely said that Red Bull team is doing much better than Jaguar did with the team. Anyways I do think Ferrari still will win some races, but I think either McLaren or Renault will come away with the constructors championsip. But then again it is still year early in this the longest F1 championship season ever, so lots can change.

I heard that it was all the tranmission's fault for Ferrari last race. Anyone know who makes it?
