On that circuit map I see a lagoon, and two lakes. Perfect for Skaiffe to jump into
Judged on personality alone I hope Ingall does well |

well only one of them is gonna be able to jump in, once one does all the water will be evaporated into steam. though skaife hasn't been so bad, because he's been going quite well lately.
C'mon todd, 3 in a row!

SBR powerplants getting 1-2-3 though, should be interesting who had the qualy pace and whos got race pace. Ambrose will now start QR from pole 5 years in a row

Lowdnes won pretty comfortably, Ambrose came second. Pit stop strategy was the key to Lowdnes' victory, as he only changed 2 tyres and Ambrose changed 4. Tander was third and Ingall was right behind him in fourth. Unfortunate for Ingall that he was stuck behind Ambrose in the pit-lane. That always seems to be the SBR policy....
Jason Richards had a crash on the Turn 3 Exit which was rather spectacular...... |

yeah but apparently thats better than leaving him out. I thought the one minute stop for Morris was really harsh, cause the porsche guy got away with it.

Morris is always in trouble for his driving though, i think its just his style coming out of super tourers

what happened is at one corner there is a kerb on the outside exit that is used in the short circuit. this guy was ahead, got a tap on the back left, spun, clipped the kerb and rolled and flipped violently. One of the front wheels was ripped off, bring some of the suspension with it, and one of the rear brakes caught fire as well. The previous day, a GT3 cup did the exact same, doing 7.5 rolls.
go to www.tasmanmotorsports.com for a big pic, and www.v8supercars.com.au for shit about the series

Yeah i know what happened, but what im saying is just like the BTCC drivers that come over for the enduros (john cleland is the biggest culprit of this) morris gives a bit of biff and barge though a couple of the corners at times. Many people claim he couldve easily backed off and given room, but rather kept (or put) the boot in and pushed him out wide

Simple fact is none of todays drivers race as cleanly as the drivers of the previous era, such as Brock or Dick Johnson (both of whom have said they NEVER touched or swapped paint during their many wheel to wheel batttles). I think the closeness of todays competition breeds a greater degree of agressiveness in the drivers since making up positions is so difficult. And there's nothing wrong with some aggression. However, Morris tends to go further and more deliberately than most of the other drivers. The other drivers to have done similar in the past - Rick Kelly and Ingall spring to mind - have calmed down somewhat. Morris doesn't seem to have changed in the last 14 years since he first debuted. Morris could have and should have feathered the throttle to avoid contact. He claimed lack of racing room, but feathering the throttle would've avoided the incident. The penalty was justified. And I think the least Morris can do now is offer his spare car to Tasman Motorsport for Oran Park. Point of interest - the latest Motorsport News said in an article about Paul Radisich and Team Kiwi: "without meaning any disrespect to Paul Morris, it is only now that we ae really starting to see just what these [Paul Morris Motorsport Commodore's] are capable of". I don't think that MN writer thinks much of Paul Morris' talents either. I honestly hope Morris and Radisich don't share a car a Bathurst - Morris will probably destroy any chances of them winning.

Do you think Peter Wallerman took previous infringemets into concideration with the 60 second penalty?

Possibly.
Also, can't work out why Rodney Jane wasn't penalised for the Porsche Cup incident. That looked even more deliberate than the Morris/Richards incident.
