No actually I dont, Plus the fan poles dont either. Oval racing is getting more popular then any other form of racing. Nascar had a attendance of almost if not twice as much as F1. F1 is a joke to most americans because they failed at Indy. What F1 isnt reall concerned about is having the fans invoveled while nascar puts them first. Its not really a redneck sport anymore theres many Ferraris, Lamborghinis and other high end cars that go watch nascar. The crowd in the last 5 years has turned around with many more wealthy people attending the races. Plus for how many years in the past did you know schumi was gonna win and you never know who will win in nascar. Have you ever heard the saying 3 wide in F1 yeah didnt think so.

You're lucky, in Britain we get the F1 an hour of rallying a month and Touring cars when the rallying and F1 aren't on. There was no mention of Le Mans on any of the channels this year. I wish we had a motor racing channel.

Obvesely alot more then any other racing. Have you seen how much stuff they sell? Each race is attracting more then 80k people. Give me another race that this many people come to watch every race and I will pull out the check book and pay you. I know the 3 wide is funny but have u ever seen it in person its quite exciting. When 40 cars go past at 200mph the hair on the back of your neck stands up its exciting.

Yes, I've been to several NASCAR races but before it all went to crap in the mid 1980's. So what, NASCAR puts butts in the bleachers...99.9% of the fans are there because it's a fad like owning a Harley Davidson....not many real car enthusiast in the crowd these days.

It has become a traveling soap opera, the women are there because so and so driver is cute and most of the men are just following a fad.

I tried watching Nascar a couple of days ago after a couple of members here commented that it was in fact fun to watch and follow once you got used to it... Needless to say that I only lasted about 5 minutes. It seriously is one hell of a boring competition, not even the crashes make up for it. I don't understand why people like it so much.

Speed TV used to be Nascar 60% of the time, I can't believe they'll be airing more of it.

You really dont know what your talking about. Harley owners? Have you ever heard of stirges? Theres over a MILLION harleys that go to this "fad". Where are you getting thse numbers from 99.9 percent? Obvesely the reason they do it is it makes MONEY. Nascar puts F1 to shame in every aspect, money, fame, and spectators. In america ask any one who dale sr and then ask people who schumi is. The point is nascar is growing it may not be exciting to you but dont complain about it.

Sure it's popular here, so what? It's a fad mostly.

I'm not going to slam anyone who likes it, I just know what the fan base is made of these days. NASCAR realizes it too that's why they're about to go to a formula where the cars are identical like the IROC series. They know that Joe Fan only knows the driver and car number, so why bother having unique cars?

The popularity of it doesn't equate to having Speed channel saturated with it, but yet they will cram it full, it's all about the almighty dollar....I realize that.
