Aswell as the usual raft of technical changes (aero last year, engine this) they are having for the second year running to adapt to a whole new set of tyre regulations. Plus of course a number of teams have defected from Michelin to Bridgestone which means they'll be getting used to a whole new kind of tyre/tyre construction aswell. I try not to take much attention of the testing times until at least the end of January/beginning of February. By then most of the teams will have launched their new cars properly and will be really gearing up for the new season big-time. One thing that did really catch my attention though: on 7/12/05 Narain Karthikeyan was the fastest Williams driver! ![]() Impressive considering it was his first ever outing in a Williams.

There wera talks about the restrictor rule being inadequete....I'd imagine they'll tie down on that first before the V8 can actually catch up...
