they did
they confirmed that they are the best, so they don't have anything more to proof. probably they'll come back in 5 years, as they were doing in the past.

It's the Renault way - arrive, win, piss off for a few years.

Also, I heard that one of the F1 manufacturers spent 'more than half their total dividend' on Formula 1 in 2005, and if you look at the manufacturers involved, that could only be Renault. Spending like that is unsustainable - they had 300 technicians working on the V8 alone. Silly.

1. I don't read Finnish.
2. Why should we trust these people when no one else is reporting this?

Odd, I always reckoned it was Ferrari as they still had the largest budget.

The idea of Renualt pulling out is old hat and always rumoured as iti s and has always been Renaults way in motorsport.

Its the french way. Same with Peugeot in WRC , win a few titles.. let the others have a little fun for some years, come back and win the whole thing consecutively.

Ferrari do have a large budget, but I would imagine a lot of their sponsorship deals (certainly major ones) for 05 were struck a couple of years ago - and worth mega-bucks. Renault don't have the long-term stability of Ferrari and i should think are less able to command spectacular sums for ad space as a result. However, I'm not really sure how much they make from sponsorship. I have heard stories that Ferrari spent $500,000,000 on F1 in 2005 - but how much of that actually comes from the Maranello coffers?
