Speed Channel is good about rerunning the race the next afternoon, but in the meantime it can be hard (Even in the US) to avoid finding out who won, especially if you're a UCP member!

A night race might put the live feed at a more reasonable time for Europe and US, as well as somewhat less of a physical strain on the drivers (its cooler at night). But the lighting would have to be real good.

wow i'm surprised this topic is moved here so late when it's been lead for more than a week now

the biggest chance to introduce night GP has Singapur which will be lead on the streets of downtown, in the place of magny-cour's french GP, webber has already tested the proposed track and he enjoyed it

FIA has already talked with the specialists from nascar or whichever american series has races at night, so it makes it even more probable

i think it'll be very interesting to watch, and practical as well for most of tv watchers

What?!? They do race at night.. in fact the last race started at two in the morning!!! Crazy if you ask me, but the race track was so well lit that seemed like it was midday or sumthin' down there in malaysia...

Yes, the old man is turning senile

No(r)way.
Finally.. A chance to get F1 to Norway!
We have a quite good track some 50 km's north of the Polar circle. During summer it's hard to tell if it's night or day up there.
It's a nice track to

But the whole idea of Europeans watching it, is down the drain though

This still won't help US audiences, except for the odd ABC/NBC broadcast.

Hopefully Fox will pick it up so I can get into it again.

I don't find it too difficult not finding out who won. Don't put the teletext up, don't pick up a paper, and don't enter the racing forums on UCP

so it's official now. singapure has signed a contract for years 2008-2012 and in all likelyhood it'll be a night race (or at least late-afternoon one)

Good. Singapore, street race. I'll travel there to witness it. I see singapore as one of the jewels in the world. Monaco, Dubai, Singapore.
