Nice idea, but about as feisable as running it at the Nordschlife...

Not a hope you would ever have the run off areas, and its too far from airports and good hotels.

Eastern Creek would need some serious redevelopment to be up to F1 standards, not just in facilities but putting on a show. The teams would be able to show up in their Monaco/Hungary specifications with some of the tight infield corners, the 3 hairpins and how turn 1 currently is. They'd end up going to the same trouble Toyota did with the Fuji circuit IMO.

What a shame. All those new tracks in exotic locations leave me so cold. I'd rather prefer to have great tracks in F1.

But money and safety rules everything I guess.

I think the only circuits that could run F1 cars are Adelaide and Albert Park.

You could scratch Adelaide from that list, its been over 10 years since theyve raced there and i dont think any improvements have been made for the V8 Supercars.

Noooo!!

Even if this were possible (with todays safety standards) it would mean rooting up the track even more than it has been

Proper tarmac ftw I guess...

Despite that I'd really like to see what those modern F1 start could do in a proper race track. I think they'll just chicken out with some preposterous excuse...

Mate I will never forget the sight of those highly chancey motorcycle sidecar 'outfits' being raced around the Mt Panorama circuit!

Just awesome

Theyre modifying the pits in the horse racing complex to acomodate a new horse race track there, but by the Senna esses i think theyre keeping the V8 track. Its been floated though i think to use the full-length Brabham straight, but i dont know how much extra outlay it would require.
