Radical Changes in F1: Revisited

Well, today at a meeting in Monaco the F1 teams agreed to the proposed rule changes. These new rules could be ratified as early as 2006, and some smaller changes might be seen in 2005. Also a new qualifying system is being constructed and may be implemented later this year.

These proposals are crazy I'm still skeptical about them, I'll wait to see what really happens.

After thinking about them for awhile, I came to think that the teams will probably manage to go faster, even with these rules. Also they will lower costs so maybe teams like Jordan, Jaguar, Minardi, and others will become competitive. Lower costs might also draw new manufacturers into F1, which would be great.

A bigger field would be good, but I can't think of another manufacturer or team that would be likely.

VAG are more interested with their endurance LMP cars
PSA don't have the money
GM don't have the money

Any other suggestions anyone?
