VW Jetta TDI Cup

I did a search and found nothing and wondered how this slipped under the radar.

VW North America is sponsoring a racing series with the Jetta TDI Clean Diesel engines in conjunction with SCCA. The event is only 8 races this year but they are aiming to help unknown drivers aged 16-26 break into the racing world. I just saw a commercial about it and then found this article through Google.

I think this is really cool, a green racing series that also is helping young emerging drivers. Maybe next year I will apply (lol, I have 0 experience racing)

Frankie Muniz of Malcolm in the Middle is in Formula BMW I believe - I saw him at Mosport in 2006.

He sucked ass, but props to him for using his coin for something as sick as racing.

He's doing Champ Car Atlantics now I think.
