Didnt Loeb have a test with renault back in 2007, not sure how it went ? seeing he is still driving a rally car Im thinking not well. To say Loeb would have driven better than the current drivers at Silverstone is rediculous.

Loeb is a great driver and has driven sportscars successfully but he would be out of his depth initally in F1 in the dry let alone on a wet track with worn intermediates on when they should have been on wets.

he came within half a second of Kovalainen's time in a Renault last year during a test at Paul Ricard. Kovalainen managed something similar in a test with the Citroen WRC car...

mind you though, 1/2 sec in F1 car on a track is a bit more important than 1/2 sec on a rally stage....
