My first V8 supercars race
Yesterday I watched the 2008 Bigpond 400 online that Mark Winterbottom swept. This was the first touring car race that I have watched b/c i dont have cable so i cant watch them on TV.
 This is a little bit pathetic cuz ive watched the "Aussie NASCAR" but never Nascar itself.  Because of the F1 that I have watched they actually looked kinda slow. But, because there were a whole bunch of cars on the road it made up for it with chaos and carnage. The track seemed to narrow to easily have 2 cars side by side, yet there was alot of overtaking. The only thing i didnt like about it was the mandatory pitstop it seems stupid and redundant.

i should probably watch V8 supercars sometime...maybe i'll go spectate when they're at Indy

correctamundo. I have no idea about american series. they were both very simmilar werent they?

The Indy event dates back to the CART days when it was the Honda Indy 300 event. When the IRL split from CART, we were able to keep the Indy name and then Champ Car used it from 2003 onwards. This year since the merger the IRL cars are there

I'll be at Bathurst this year for the 1000. I can't wait--it's been a dream of mine for years.
As I recall, SPEED airs the V8 season in its entirety from Nov-Dec.
