Montreal GP dropped from 2009 F1 Calendar

Its all over the news today.
A contract was signed in 2006 to keep the GP in Montreal until 2011 but that seems to be going to hell.

Another great decision by the sport's governing body. At least you still have the ALMS race at Mosport!

AFAIK the drivers love Montréal, and the fans in Montréal love F1, what a stupid and utterly ridiculous decision.

Not going to watch F1 ever again. Dropping Montréal is the final stupid decision they make that I can tolerate.

Seems to me to be another "bluff" by Bernie to squeeze more $$$ from the organizers.

The on-the-fly rule making and lack of passing wasn't enough to make you leave, but this was?

I say keep the Euro snobs in Europe.

Bloody hell. Take the best two Grand Prix' after Spa off the calendar?! Silverstone and Quebec should most certainly be on the calendar.

Bernie should try doing somethin for the sport, not his own - already ridiculously fat - wallet.

so the closest we have is... brazil? rediculous.

the track has gone to hell, and this years showing was very poor, but it is favored by drivers, and champions wall always makes for some great moments
