They also had to do a lot more "explaining" of everything....

The opening is usually the funniest though...

I must say I was bored silly. I stopped about 60% of the way through and just looked at the final results. Some truly boring racing. I hope I didn't miss anything in the last two fifths of the races, but I really don't care.
It's kinda sad, I thought this season had potential, and it's already run out of steam. Pity.
I have been watching Le Mans in 2-3 hour installments all this week (because I was away when it was going on), and I have to say even endurance racing's on-track action was more interesting.
Maybe I have talked myself into a fury and it wasn't really a boring races, but even if I am unhinged, I did not find it enjoyable.
I watched about half the 24H of LM, and I really enjoyed it, but to be honest, it wasn't that eventful or trilling on itself, it was mostly due to my own interested, watching the live timing every lap, being avid of info from Radio Le Mans, and being something it happens only once a year, and also my first time watching it. Also, having so many slower cars to pass every 30 seconds is adding a lot, not even talking about the night time or the iconic atmosphere.
If every month there was a 24H of LM, maybe it would be less intriguing, so that's probably something F1 is suffering of too.
It isn't just that a race is plain simple, but that this story repeats itself every two weeks.
I'm one of those who would like to have a race going on every Sunday, but if all of them have to be the same, regardless of who is leading, I can't bother.
Considering how complicated F1 cars are, the race are far too simple, hence something isn't working.
NASCAR has probably a greater "value for money", it's kinda simple as a series, but it manage to attract a lot of fans every time too.
In F1 the movie starts on friday, but no one really cares as it isn't broadcasted or either they are just testing stuff and playing games. Saturday it's like a ballet and, imo, with the stupid fuel to be present in the third part to ruin a lot of the game (and also spoiling what's going to happen at which lap during the race) and then Sunday it's the "grand final", when everything is defined after 5 laps at best.
It may be a good training camp for teams or automakers, but it's pointless to watch at.
