Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione makes it to production!

Alfa Romeo has announced that the impressive 8C Competizione will go in production in 2007. The first pieces are expected to hit the roads in 2008 and in 2009 America will see them comming which means that Alfa Romeo will return to the continent.

Alfa Romeo also announced that they are designing a car (probably named 'Sprint') which will going to compete with the MINI Cooper.

    I'd say the weight mostly.

Regarding the 8C making it into production it's hardly suprising since a production version of the 8C was confirmed for Paris a couple of months ago. Apparently it'll have the new 4.7-litre V8 developped jointly by Alfa Romeo and Maserati, which will push 450bhp at least. Expect prices to rival those of the Ferrari F430.

And the Sprint thing (Alfa Romeo's B-segment Mini fighter) isn't official.

Yes! Another beautiful Alfa Romeo coupe. Isn't it supposed to rival the Porshe 911 and Aston Martin V8 Vantage? Anyway it still looks absolutely fantastic and i hope it will be very fast and have a better build quality than the Alfas of old. Its probably going to be a hit regardless of build quality anyway. It will probably sell on looks alone! Oh it has a new V8 unit! Yay! Even better! I hope it still has that legendary Alfa Romeo enigine noise.

The Brera is to heavy and it just drives like shit if you want to go fast through a corner it understeers and it's just rubbish. I wanted to love it so much but ended up with the biggest automotive dissapointment ever.... Still gorgeous to look at though....

Awesome. This car should really help get the Alfa Romeo sells up here in the US.

Plus, she'll be in Test Drive Unlimited as well!

This car really really looks good.

A good way to come back into the NA market. I hope that the rest of the line up makes it across te atlantic as well.

Deoes anyone know if they are building a new plant in America for those or if they are imported?
