    unknown police car

    hi all,
    can anyone help me to know the type of the police car in the attached pic?

    The question is, why did they use a British car?

    It's not like they're known for reliability in general.

    I guess they didn't have a better choice.

    The Arabic on the car says "Bolis" (phonetic sp of english)

    The Arabic on the bottom of the pic translates to: "Traffic police in the Kingdom 1967"

    .... and a lot of the "British Empire" had British dealerships in the capital cities and the larger states usually had factories where "knock down kits" were shipped from factories in UK and re-assembled in the country.
