Strange. It just seems weird that it could happen one day, and be fine the next. Maybe your spark plugs are due a replacement? Im not a mechanic (yet), so i am sure there are people out there that could help you. Matra Et Alpine is bound to know whats wrong

car was in for the problem. it was not fixed. new plugs ,new fuel lines ,clean all injectors,replace fuel accumulator,check fuel pump pressure(OK),.

Did you take the car to a main meredes dealer?

this is a independent mb "expert". before it was at a mb dealer it was not fixed

Strange none of them could fix it, conidering the private guy was an "expert" and he didnt fix it

Anyway, I will keep looking and thinking how to get around youp problem. Oh, and welcome to UCP!!!

I had that problem in my old Rover, it was running hot, so when I stopped it somewhere the fuel in the lines would evaporate, and I wouldn't be able to start it straight off. Had to re-core the radiator. Are they days that it works cooler than the ones it doesn't?

Hi, That is interesting. It was running hot. So the thermostat was replaced. Now it is not running hot but the problem is still there.

Try getting a radiator flush product and running that through.
