because it will be entererd during the 2007 season. Citroen is taking only one year off. (contrary to the original plans, but their recent successes made them reconsider)

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) has announced that it has decided to suspend participation in the FIA World Rally Championship series from 2006.

With the Mitsubishi Motors Revitalization Plan as a basis, MMC has made a solid start toward revitalizing its business operations. However, to strengthen and build upon this base, MMC realizes that it must focus management resources on the continued promotion of the revitalization plan.

Mitsubishi Motors hopes to return to the WRC Championship series from 2008, after the completion of the 3-year revitalization plan, which covers fiscal 2005 to 2007.

This decision however does not extend to MMC’s efforts in the Dakar Rally (commonly known as Paris-Dakar). Mitsubishi Motors will continue to compete in this event.

Starting with an overall championship in the Safari Rally in 1974, the Mitsubishi WRC Team has accomplished a spectacular 34 wins in the WRC series. The team won the drivers’ title 4 consecutive years from 1996 to 1999, and won the prestigious manufacturers’ title in 1998.

A great sin

Seriously, very disappointed though, been with them since I heard of rallying and the one year that I finally got the chance to understand it properly and now they're going

it's the time for you to join me and to support Skoda no seriously , it's time for them to recruit real drivers , as Bengue and Mc Rae...'cause Schwarz was useful only to test the resistance of the car

Always have mate.
No use now though as the official team is backing out. Anybody can get a privateer team.

'll probably go with Ford next year, but just slight support anyway.

You're in for a shock if you ever get to drive one
Skoda have always been innovative and produced world rallying class winning cars for 30 years. The VW investment and sharing has produced an excellent range of cars. My sisters diesel Skoda is great fun because it will out accelerate the Nova tuners/ricers with ease. Have been known to match their acceleration so they THINK they're keepign up and then flooring it to pull away

Skoda is also pulled out as a factoy team and it is now run by a private team in Austria, sponsored by Red Bul. Citröen will also not compete as a factory team next year they will return in 2007. Puegeot is out, I don't know when they will come back? Just to add to all this bad news Mitisubishi is out...
