Focus lookalike...

Hey, I saw a new Ford Focus today and at first I couldnt decide if it was a focus or a Kia Rio...
Was my eyesight playing up?
Also they both have oval badges...just to confuse me further...
Anyone got a good reason why? Is Kia owned by Ford? I dont think it is is it...?

PS: I have a friend down from outta town, therefore I cant really reply on this till thursday.

It's not as bad as all the rebadged cars GM has, example: the Holden or Vauxhall Monaro was rebadged as a Pontiac and called GTO

Thats a good car though! This wasn't even rebadged. This was a cheap knock off.

Hyundai used to make heavy machinery like tractors and stuff. Then started making cars. They tried to buy out Kia and got about 51% of the Company but the government there wouldn't let them take over the company and made them sell some until they only had 36% left. so they only control 36% percent of Kia. So they are trying to take over the World! Kia is doing well in the States so that is why Hyundai is trying to get them. They also have the same parts distribution networks. They are slowly merging so eventually all thier cars will run off of 6 different frames for the two companies. Hope i was a little informative.
