Drifting on a budget is a relative term, I don't know what your anvil gig pays but your are going to need disposable $$.

Alternatively, steal cars as per need.

And please do try to limit your use of smilies, this is just a personal gripe of mine.

Other than using a manual RWD, which would seem obvious, enquire into some performance driver training. Even if they dont, or wont, teach you how to drift, you'll probably learn how to react better to how the car responds.

Hahahahahaha.. sorry... Skyline or RX-7....

Don't f-in' bother. Try something with 200-ish HP and since you don't plan on buying one, steal a Corolla GT-S or a 240SX.

If you want an easier way to drift, try my Volvo in Gran Turismo 4. Damn... that thing could go sidewayz like nothing else I've ever driven.

err...skylines and RX-7's work fine for drift?
and isn't a 240SX a silvia anyway, which was one of his suggestions....

A skyline is awd so that wont work. Any car can be made into a drag car but it takes some setup.

awd can sometimes be good for drifting, since they got a better traction, and there is 2 skylines running in the D1 gp..
but the silvia got a good performance too, and the rx-7 dunno why, but i feel its a good car for drifting
