In addition to halloween, fall turkey season, the start of pheasant season, and college football getting into high gear i love october cause its baseball playoffs time!!

here's my take on last night:

first and foremost: d-backs/cubs is the series to watch! that was a great game last night. A true pitchers duel, i loved it. i think both teams are so evenly matched itll be a great series.

secondly: the red sox made the angels look like a 1 man team last night (vlad) but i dunno if their pitching can hold it together due to tim wakefield's issues so i think the angels have a chance (as long as the red sox's offense doesn't wake up and perform at the level its capable of).

thirdly: the rockies are hot and the phillies are cold. so im gonna put my vote in for the rockies, but i dont think they can really shake a stick at the D-backs which i think will probably win the NL.

what are your thoughts?

way more important than any baseball season could ever be was the start of the NHL season last night, without that and NBA I wouldn't be able to make it through the winter

Cubs have an outside chance, in a wide-open year, why not them? They are my team though so of course I'm rooting for them. Pulling Big Z after 85 pitches maybe wasn't a great choice but I don't think it will hurt us as long as we win tonight.

October is also when the NFL becomes clearer and hopefully my Chicago Bears will bounce back.

Also I turn 20 in two weeks, so rock on!

The Seahawks are definitely the NFC team to watch. They're close to where they were in 2005. The defense that shuts down every opponent, and the offense is beginning to click

i love hockey...but not as much as baseball. plus there are no hockey games on tv or on the radio untill playoff time, and even then its pretty shoddy coverage.
