USA, Colorado,
the m4 is a sweet weapon. Works very well to hold down vehicles. Info on the mp5k? I would like to own one someday for use in close quarters.

HK MP5 is a submachine gun and the AK-47 is an assault rifle, the M4 is a carbine. However, there is a version of the AK-47 as a carbine called the AKS-74U; the HK 416 is the next step up from the HK MP5 because it uses a 5.56 rifle round.

M4 Carbine is an old design; I'd go with the HK 416 or the FN SCAR.

Now let's make this relevant: The M4 Carbine is like a Corvette - an archaic design that somehow still makes a case for itself. The HK 416 is like the Porsche Turbo - German engineering at its best. Finally the FN SCAR is like the Nissan GT-R - the newest and most high-tech toy on the block.

Great analogy with the M4 carbine/corvette, especially since they are both in a way based on 50 year old designs and are still formidable machines. Realizing that the 416 is still loosely based on the AR15; I suggest the G36C as your 911 turbo. The SA80 an Esprit

I like the analogy of the 416 to the 911 Turbo because you have a rather old design principle completely redesigned to make it a world beater.
