Good morning everyone! .......Who is this guy?!
Wouter and Pieter may travel all around the world many times each year, but when it comes to find a small awesomeness-producing factory near Modena, you know you need some local help. Hint: Horacio Pagani and his dream in carbon-fibre - Ultimatecarpage.com - Powered by knowledge, driven by passion I had to step in and help in some way. Interviewing one of my personal gurus was probably a difficult task, but there is no glory without a bit of suffering ![]() If you feel like this is the Italian point of view on the same subject, except I refuse to summarize so I had to break it in more parts. They were supposed to be three, and now they are four... Precisely. I just got a few at the time new details on the car, some additional info, which will be published in the second part.
On the other hand, no, I won't see the new Huayra next Tuesday, the economic crunch has imposed a tight budget restriction at our office... meaning I just need to save money for other more important stuff. A postponed exam on the 3rd of March did the rest to spoil the party. I assume I'll see thew Huayra at the next Modena Terra di Motori though, if not earlier at the factory.

They aren't: coupe #3 is bright orange, #5 is green, Roadster #4 is bright yellow and #2 will be deep red. Also coupe #2 has an ordinary exhaust system and F seats.

Does the Huayra have a three-pedaled sequential? Also, does Mr. (Dr.?) Pagani have any plans to lend his expertise in composites to those who are trying to make them a part of more everyday cars?

![]() First off, no third pedal. It's not a real sequential, just "another" electroactuated manual gearbox. AFAIK, they are not going to share their composites knowledge with any other company as of now, if not possible AMG/Daimler through their engine deal. I know one of the Huayra's prototypes will stay in Affalterbach for engine testing and development. Besides, Pagani has never got a degree of any sort, albeit he entered some engineering studies (industrial design and then mechanical engineering). The difference between him and an engineer is the same difference you can find between a Zonda and a Gumpert Apollo. I'd like to get both sides of the coin when I'll start my own ubersupercarcompany lol

Time for an update, isn't it?
![]() Third part of the interview with Horacio Pagani focuses on its aim to mix art and science/engineering in his creations, following the path of Leonardo Da Vinci. Mission accomplished, if you ask me. I thought it could be quite important to add also this image as it underlines a significant detail, even if you are free to not like it. ![]() At first I thought the rear view mirror was a bit weird, and shaped in a way that didn't really fit the car. Now paying attention to this image, you can notice how its inspiration comes fromt he shape of the human eye, and given the mirror is the only way you have to look to what's behind you, that idea does fit the overall concept.
